SMS Consent Standard

Client Consent Requirements

Last updated: July 2026

Every business that uses BoostyBear is required to collect written, opt-in consent from its own customers before any review-request text is sent. This page shows the exact consent checkpoint we require each participating business to add to their own booking, intake, or checkout process — the same language, unchecked by default, every time.

Why this page exists: BoostyBear never collects consent on its own behalf. Consent is collected directly by the business a customer already visited, at the moment of booking or checkout, using the standard language shown below. This page documents that standard so it can be verified independent of any single client's booking system.

The required consent checkpoint

Below is a representative example of the consent checkbox every participating business adds to their own intake or booking form. The wording is fixed; only the business name changes per client.

Example — Sunrise Salon booking form
Name
Maria Gonzalez
Mobile Number
(555) 555-0142
☐ Unchecked by default
